Wild Weekend: Winter Waders
Join Bird Wise East Kent at Minnis Bay for a walk and talk with the Rangers focussing on identification of our Wintering Waders. Minnis Bay is host to many different wintering waders, including but not limited to Curlew, Oystercatchers, Sanderling, Redshank and Turnstones. If you wish to brush up on your identification skills of wading birds, want to tick a few waders off your life list, or wish to meet some like-minded people then join us for our informative walk and talk. Our Rangers will be on hand to answer any questions, give tips and tricks on how to improve your bird identification and help with how to watch the birds safely.
This event is weather dependent, if conditions are too rough and we are forced to cancel, we will try our best to reschedule to a different date.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear including layers, waterproof coats and sturdy footwear. This site is almost completely flat and so suitable for all abilities. However, part of the site is natural, and so could be muddy and slippery. This walk and talk will last between 1.5-2 hours. We will meet at the Bird Wise van on the promenade in front of the Minnis Bay Bar
