All 3 events start at 2pm and last for up to 1.5 hours – and are particularly suitable for 4-11s. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. These events are run with the help of Thanet Coast Project volunteers, and rely on donations to keep going. Please register and show the total number attending (& number of ‘adults & children’ in your group). You will have to do another booking for a group of over 10 in total.
Donations welcome: suggested: £2 per person – adult & child present. Please help contribute to the ‘not-for-profit’ Thanet Coast Project – by making an online donation at https://www.thanetcoast.org.uk/making-a-donation/ or bring some spare change on the day.
Meet: ON THE BEACH – and please sign in to confirm your booking.
What to wear: You will need to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the beach, sand art and weather conditions on the day.
Equipment: The event instructions and tubs are provided by the Thanet Coast Project – although you are welcome to bring your own spades for the BeachArt.
Health and Safety: Please take care when scavenging on the beach, that there will be sharp objects (such as stone or shells) and may be contaminated objects (eg dog’s mess) on the beach – so please do wash your hands as soon as possible after the event. There may be hazards to avoid (cliff falls; promenade edges; slippery surfaces or mounds of seaweed; or the tidal pool structure, and any vehicles in the vicinity). This is a public beach, so please be careful of other beach users on the day.
Toilets: Be prepared as there may be no public toilets open nearby at this time of year
